This site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the store and improve your experience.

What we use

Essential — cart contents, checkout state, login sessions, and your age confirmation. These are always on; the store cannot work without them.

Analytics. A random visitor and session identifier stored in your browser, any campaign parameters from the link you arrived through, Vercel Analytics, our hosting provider's privacy-focused measurement service, and Google Analytics, which sets its own identifier in your browser and receives your page views and shopping actions through Google's tag, never your name, email address, phone number or postal address. In the United States there is no banner: this runs unless you opt out on Your Privacy Choices (https://www.vantalabsresearch.com/legal/privacy-choices) or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. Elsewhere, including Canada, nothing in this category is created or sent unless you choose Accept on the cookie banner.

Advertising — three pixels. The TikTok Pixel, the Snap Pixel and the Reddit Pixel measure whether our adverts lead to visits and orders. Each sets an identifier in your browser and sends its platform your page views together with the technical data any web request carries, plus shopping actions — product viewed, added to cart, order paid — and Reddit receives a one-way hash of your email address while you are signed in. In the United States they load unless you opt out or your browser sends Global Privacy Control; elsewhere only if you accept. Opting out, Global Privacy Control, or declining outside the United States means none of them is ever loaded, so no request reaches TikTok, Snap or Reddit and no identifier is set.

The Meta Pixel — present unless you opt out, and not controlled by the banner. Meta's pixel loads on every page whether you accept or decline the banner, unless you opt out on Your Privacy Choices or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. It sets an identifier in your browser, and sends Meta your page views and shopping actions. While you are signed in it also receives a one-way hash of your email address and account number, and on a paid order our server sends Meta hashes of the email address, phone number, name and postal address on the order. Declining the banner does not stop it; opting out or Global Privacy Control does. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Customer.io — our email and SMS provider, with nothing in your browser. Customer.io sends our email and will deliver our text messages, but it runs no script on this website: it sets no cookie, places no identifier and sees none of your page views, so there is nothing for this banner to control. What it receives, it receives from our server — your email address, your consent status and its date, your order summary and, where you have given SMS consent, your mobile number — so that it can send and measure the messages you agreed to; the Privacy Policy describes this in full and explains how to opt out.

The Google Ads tag — always present; what it may do depends on your choices. Google's tag loads on every page; what your choices control is what it may do. In the United States its storage permissions are granted unless you opt out. Outside the United States until you accept — and for anyone who opts out or sends Global Privacy Control — every storage permission is denied, and an opt-out also switches on Google's restricted data processing: no advertising cookie, no identifier stored or sent, nothing shared for ads personalisation. Google receives only a cookieless signal that a page was viewed, with nothing tying it to you or to any other visit. Accepting grants those permissions; declining, opting out, or changing your mind later sets them back to denied immediately. It is told the shopping actions — product viewed, added to cart and checkout begun, with the product identifier, quantity and price — and a completed order: when you pay, the tag reports the amount, the currency and a reference for that order, so we can tell which adverts led to sales. It is never told your email address. These reports are sent at any setting — where permissions are denied they carry no cookie and no identifier. The same tag also reports those page views to Google Merchant Center, which lists our products in Google's shopping results, under the same consent settings, so we can tell when a visit from one of those listings ends in an order; Merchant Center is not sent the shopping actions or the order report.

Your choices

In the United States there is no banner: use Your Privacy Choices (https://www.vantalabsresearch.com/legal/privacy-choices) to opt out or back in, and Global Privacy Control is honoured as an opt-out automatically. Outside the United States, choosing Decline on the banner stops all non-essential storage; nothing in the analytics category is created. Your choice is remembered in your browser. To change it, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may break checkout or login.
